Easter 2009

Easter 2009 has come and gone. We had a nice Easter weekend. We had Matt home for a few extra days, which is always nice. Nolan had an extended time off from school, Thursday to Tuesday(he just went back to school today). Easter here in Italy is a big thing and people get extended time off from work and school. The weather was not so great. It rained Friday, Saturday, and Easter Sunday. The picnic we were supposed to be having after church was a washout, it was pouring rain so that was a little disappointing. No Easter egg hunts this year...Monday was beautiful and since Matt did have it off we really enjoyed the day together. Meredith and Nolan both loved their Easter egg baskets(thanks again Aunt Laurie). Meredith didn't get any candy of course but she did get eggs filled with puffs(that Easter Bunny is pretty clever!) Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

Carola and Nolan decorating Easter eggs, they don't do this in Italy, so it was Carola's first time

Our attempt at a Easter family picture after church, Nolan was not in the mood, as you can see...
Nolan got this shirt from the Easter Bunny, he loves Chocolate- and his shirt!
Meredith and Nolan with their baskets
This picture is funny, look at Nolan's face. It looks like he is in pain doesn't it?

Happy Easter! It's funny to see how holidays are celebrated there, wish we had that time off!

Courtney - I'm SO sorry about my earlier post!! It just dawned on me this morning that I might have gotten the wrong Courtney. I suddenly realized that Meredith was the clue....but once I got to the blog I saw that you had already caught my mistake! So, this is a bit overdue, but THANK YOU!

When did Nolan grow up so much???? He looks so old to me in these photos! We did eggs too. Glitter eggs! Wouldn't suggest these! Yikes! Glitter everywhere! (including Sawyer's mouth!) yuck!
Meredith looks adorable in her dress and bunny ears.

Courtney, Kelsey just told me she still, to this day, pictures you in bright red lipstick like from when you were in high school. She described you as "super cool because she was in high school."

Noney looks like Uncle Jordy as a lad.

In my defense SYD, the only time I wore bright red lipstick was when we were performing for color guard. Maybe she is thinking of that since she would have been at all our competitions as well. Otherwise, her memory must be a bit dusty, ha ha. Court
