Market Weekend in Avigliana

Every year in Avigliana where we live there is a huge market that comes through just a few blocks from our house. It lasts the weekend. Saturday is the first day and this year it was Nolan's day. They have lots and lots of tractors on display plus several kinds animals, mostly types of birds. I think Nolan must have sat on more than 75% of the tractors on display, and finally we had to tell him we must be going...Our friends came along with us Paul, Jane, and their son Daniel, and although he wasn't as crazy about the tractors as Nolan, we did get Daniel on a few. The following day was a huge market all thru town that just goes on and on and on...I tried to walk the entire market last year, and tried again this year; but it is just too much. Here's a few pictures from Saturday..

Tractors, Tractors, and more Tractors

Have you seen enough tractors yet???? I can add more if you like!

Never though you would see giagantic cow bells being sold at a market did you? We're in Italy now remember..

The cows do have a reputation for wandering out of their assigned field and thru the streets of town, so believe me; these bells are needed for location purposes. We have had at least 2 occasions in the middle of the night where we have woken up to the sound of cows bells and found cows wondering around right outside our house. It is quite a funny site..
