A Pedestrian's Life in Italy (video)
It is quite a challenge to get anywhere in Italy, either by car or on foot. For some reason people in Italy ignore pretty much all the traffic rules once they get behind the wheel of their car. It is pretty strange. You would think they would be afraid of getting in trouble with the law, but this is just not the case. In fact, the police are just as bad at disobeying as everyone else(I recently saw a police officer run a red light, just barely missing a car- thank goodness the other guys breaks were working). Yes, people speed through red lights, or roll through them, sometimes they even stop at red lights(imagine that) and then decide that they just don't have time to wait for the green light any longer and just go on through it. You see things like this everyday in Italy, it is pretty amazing what they do on the roads here. They also ignore the fact that they have to yield and stop for pedestrians and this video from Italy from the Inside gives you an example of what the pedestrians in Italy have to go through on a daily basis. I thought this video said it best, and I wanted to share it with you all. Enjoy!
