It's a good time...

Although some of you may already know, we feel like it is a good time to officially tell everyone that we are very excited to announce that we will be moving back to Indiana at the end of this month! Our time in Italy has come to a close and Matt's job here is finished(sort of). He will be back in Fairfield in Lafayette, Indiana in a transition role for several months, still helping with European business and after he will move into a new position in the company. This has been in the works for several months now but we wanted to wait to tell everyone until we were pretty positive everything was going to move forward.


Nolan's last day of school was last June 26th, and the lease on my car was up on Tuesday. Things seem to be wrapping up quickly here, as at this point we have approx 20 days until the movers arrive. In the coming weeks we still have Nolan's birthday, my sister Sydney coming to visit, and lots and lots of organizing to do before the movers come at the end of the month.

In the middle of all this, we have managed to find a house in West Lafayette that we are closing on July 15th(next week already!). We never thought we would buy a house without seeing it in person, but since we moved to Italy, there are alot of things we never thought we would do. Our families have both been though the house, and all have insured us that it is even better in person that it looks in the pictures. We feel very blessed to have found this house and it seems like we just came in at the right time to find such a neat property. We couldn't have asked for nicer people to be buying a house from, we are sure it is bitter sweet for them, because they have lived in the house for 36 years and raised their 2 children in the house. We are fortunate enough to be in contact with the owners. They have been so very kind to us which has made things so much easier since we are trying to do this from so far away. We are very excited to start our next new adventure as a family back in West Lafayette and look forward to seeing you all when we move back!
