Yesterday

This is our daily life now...I leave for the hospital at about 10:30am with either my mom or Matt's mom. We get there and I have to stop at the milk bank to drop off all my milk that I have pumped from the day before. Because the hospital is far away from our house, I have to also pump when I get to the milk bank. So, I know this picture might be a little funny to you, but it just shows what our life is like now and this is part of our routine. By the way, Nolan is now calling me a "milking cow" :). They have begun to give Meredith my milk through her feeding tube in her nose and it goes directly to her stomach, so this makes me happy.

Me pumping in the milk bank

After we leave the bank we go up to ICU to visit Meredith with the visiting hours being from 12:30pm-1:30pm. Sometimes we get in on time, sometimes we do not; the longest we have had to wait to get in is 2 1/2 hours(this is a little frustating). Matt leaves after he get off work to visit her with the evening visiting hours being 7-8pm, but again he doesn't always get in on time. He always gives her a nice long massage, which she loves. They are long, exhausting days for all of us but we know that this is just what we have to do right now. We just can't wait to bring our little girl home. Here are more pictures from yesterday...

I'm so glad to hear you are able to pump and she can now take milk. I know how important this is to you.
As hard as this all is, try to treasure the little moments they are still all special.
love to all,
