Our Weekend..

We left early, early Saturday morning and headed for Basal, Switzerland to visit Matt's Aunt Jewell, Uncle Brian, and cousin Michael. One we got there we visited a bit and then went straight to Titisee, Germany which is located in the famous Black Forest Region of Germany. We went to Germany for one reason, to get a cuckoo-clock. I have wanted a German cuckoo clock for years and we were so close to that area living here in Italy, we made it a point to go before the opportunity slipped away from us. I was in the US for my birthday, and Matt was in Italy, so we didn't really get to celebrate my birthday together. Matt decided that for a belated birthday this year he would get me what I always wanted, my cuckoo clock. He is so good to me..Thanks honey, I love you! The main area of the town was actually quite small, but this is the place we were told which is the best to find one. We did find a clock, and it is currently hanging in our living room.

Fribourg, Switzerland on the way home which put us back rather late on Monday night. It was a really great weekend and we wanted to thank Uncle Brian, Aunt Jewell, and Michael again for having us and letting us stay and spend time with them. We really appreciate them! Thank you so much! It will probably be the last time we visit them there because in the summer they are moving and it will actually be about 2 hours closer for us. They will still be in Switzerland, but they will be 3 hours away from us instead of 5 which will be really nice. It is so nice to have family so close to us while we are living here, who ever would known?!? Some pictures from our weekend..
