La Fattoria Del Gelato

Last week before Meredith starting feeling really bad we took advantage of the nice weather and I took Nolan and Meredith to La Fattoria Del Gelato(The Farm of Ice Cream). It is a great place for children. You can go there and get gelato and then take the gelato outside and let the kids play in this really big play area. Afterwards, they have a farm behind the main building with lots of animals. The animal included cows, goats, donkeys, rabbits, sheep, lambs, pony's, chickens, and ducks. They use the milk from their cows to make the gelato. They also have a milk station. We are starting to find these milk stations more often now in this area of Italy. It is stand where you can help yourself to fresh milk to go, usually for about 1 euro. You pop in your money and they give you a one liter milk container and then you fill it up with fresh milk. They have one at the farm, supplied by the cows their on the farm; but typically you see them on the side of the road. It is nice because if you know you are out of milk and you don't want to go into the grocery and stand in a long line,(especially if you have sleeping kids in the car)you can just get milk from one of these stands. We had a really nice day and plan on visiting there fairly often once the weather stays nice.

This was a cool swing, I have never seen a swing like this in the US. Nolan LOVED it!
Having a sweet treat..
One of the gelato's Nolan is holding is mine, don't worry, he didn't eat them both! Although he would have liked to. :)
