Rough week

It has been a rough week around here. It all started with us all catching a cold. I have been sick and feeling lousy, even going to the doctor because I couldn't move or do anything. Coughing so hard, I was and still am convinced that I broke a rib. It is better but the pain is still there and I still have the cold and a cough. The problem now is Meredith. She has gotten and ear infection and pneunomia from all of this. She will not eat or drink now and we had to take her to the ER on Friday because she was dehydrated and just wouldn't pee. It was not a fun trip. They tried 3 times to place an IV so they could give her IV fluids but they just couldn't get it to stay in her arm. They even tried in her hand. That was painful. She finally did pee that day but she still will not eat or drink so we are forcing syringes full of liquids down her so she stays hydrated. This is not enjoyable. She hates every minute of this and kicks and screams the entire time. You think it would get easier, or she would finally start to drink something, but she just won't. She is on an antibiotic for her infection and they did a chest xray to check the pneunonia while we were at the hospital. It will clear up with time. They did some labs to check her kidney function since she isn't peeing and it was ok so thank goodness for that. That was Friday. Today, Sunday she still will not eat or drink and we are still forcing liquids down her. Please just keep her in your thoughts and prayers today and this week that she starts to feel better and begins to at least start drinking something on her own. Also that her infections clear up without us having to make any more trips to the hospital. We have a recheck with her doctors tomorrow. Will see how she is doing by then.
