Buon Compleanno(Happy Birthday)!

Nolan has been quite the little social butterfly recently. In the past 3 weekends, we have been to two birthday parties. Both kids were turning 3 years old so their was quite a few kids at both parties. Nolan enjoyed himself quite a bit, as you can see. Italian birthday parties are not too different than birthdays in the U.S., there is just more food, and it never stops coming. Just when you think you are done eating, they bring out something else to eat. So, always attend on an empty stomach. Also, no Italian birthday party is complete without wine for the parents of course, and always champange at the end to complete the celebration(a nice final touch)! CinCin( Cheers)!

What's the kid's name that had the birthday? Does that say Gianmarco? And what is the equivalent to that in the US (if there is one)?

Hey Syd-
Yes, it is Gianmarco, I am not sure there is equivalent to that name in the US, but I will ask Matt. The other boys name is Mateo, and our US equivalent to that name is of course, Matt. Which by the way, many people here in Italy call my Matt by that name. I even have one person call me Elizabetha(after my middle name) because it is very difficult for Italians to same my name Courtney(there is no Italian equivalent). Just a little tidbit of information for you......
