Welcome Spring!

Last week was so nice! Nolan was on spring break and my goal with the kids was to spend as must time as possible outside. I got the majority of the flower beds cleaned out(and there are alot)! It was a busy, tiring week but it was really good. There was so much debris, leaves, sticks, etc..all throughout the yard and flower beds. We need to get used to this routine, it is something we are going to be doing for a long time to come! The other goal of ours that we accomplished this week was to get our garden tilled. Matt found a  old little Kubota tractor about 3 weeks ago on craigslist. We all drove down to Elizabethtown, Kentucky to pick it up. It was a fun little trip. He wanted a tiller for it so we could start working on the garden. He happened to find one from a friend at work. There were alot of problems with the tiller(it was quite old), but after about 1 1/2 weeks working on rebuilding the gearbox everything on it is running great and we were able to get out and till the garden on Saturday. We had a blast. I even got in on the action and did part of the tilling. Matt was impressed with my tractor driving skills. :) We are so excited about this summer and having a garden. It is going to be a fun summer! We are even tossing around the idea of getting a few chickens so we can have fresh eggs. We will see... Here is a picture of Matt on his new "baby" and the kids...
